Emergency Education for IDP Children in Jalozai Camp
The IDP education program is implementing a response to the emergency situation, and therefore, the IRC response will be guided by the INEE- Minimum Standards for Education in Emergencies, Chronic Crisis and Early Reconstruction. These standards provide guidance and tools on all aspects of education in emergencies and the IRC will strive to meet these standards in its implementation. Besides, the formal educational activities e.g. school supplies, provision of text-books, teacher training and community participation, IRC transitional education interventions in the camp will also be supported by psycho social approaches, hygiene facilities and promotion as well as recreational opportunities. Through this intervention, the IRC will minimize educational interruptions for primary students easing eventual return and reintegration to their homes.
