Around the world 258 million children, adolescents and youth * were deprived school even before COVID-19 struck. These out of school children are amongst the most in-need, facing multiple and overlapping barriers.

Education is the single most vital element in combating poverty, improving health, generating economic growth and empowering women. It is the gateway to many of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals
