‘Iraq Community Action Program’ (ICAP)-Phase three
MC proposes to work with the local council and DoYS to establish a youth center to accommodate sport and training activities. The proposed center consists of 1) football field 2) Basketball court 3) Volleyball Court 4) Computer training room 5) Multi-purpose sport hall for indoor activities 6) Tailoring training hall 7) admin section 8), sanitary facilities and changing room and 9) a store.
The proposed facilities will provide access to the youth population of Zubier district and the surrounding settlements areas to practice sport under supervision of qualified staff, and to actively engage in peaceful sport competitions and social events. Most of the youth do not have any sport fields in their schools and the youth center is the only facility available to engage in sports and other creative activities under supervisions of qualified staff.
